ALARMS, INTERCOMS AND MONITORING

An alarm is only as good as what happens next

We design detection that tells real events from false ones, put a person in front of the video before anyone is sent, and write down exactly what happens when an alarm goes off: who checks it, who gets called, in what order, and what you receive the next morning.

WHAT'S INCLUDED

Intrusion detection

Motion sensors, door and window contacts, glass-break detection and perimeter detection, designed and installed to AS/NZS 2201.

Duress and panic

Fixed and mobile duress buttons for reception, cash handling and people who work alone, each linked to a defined response.

Environmental sensors.

Temperature, leak, air quality and vape detection, covered under Building awareness.

Video intercoms

Intercoms at entries and gates, linked to access control so a door can be released remotely and every release is recorded.

Smarter arming

Arm on a schedule, or automatically once a site has been quiet for a set time, even when closing times vary. Disarm with a badge or the app, so there are no shared codes on sticky notes.

A system that tells you when it's unwell

We watch the alarm's communication path, device health and tampering, so a dead panel doesn't keep showing green.

THE RESPONSE
Four-step illustration of an alarm being detected, verified on video by an operator, responded to and reported.
Illustrative. Times shown are an example, not a service level.

From activation to report, every step recorded

Detect. A sensor or camera analytic triggers, and the event goes straight to the monitoring centre.

Verify. An operator checks live and recorded video before anyone is sent, so a cat, a cleaner or a balloon doesn't become a police call.

Respond. If it's real, the operator issues an audio warning, works through your contact list in order, and arranges a guard or calls police where it's needed.

Report. You receive a record of what happened, what was done and when. False alarms that keep recurring are investigated, not ignored.

VIDEO VERIFICATION

Illustrative. A person reviews every event.

Cameras see what sensors miss

A sensor knows something moved. A camera shows what it was. When alarms and cameras work together, the operator can see the cause in seconds and respond to the real event rather than the alert.

On the platforms we supply, a speaker on site can deliver an automated warning that describes what the intruder is wearing and doing, and most people leave at that point. If they don't, an operator takes over, speaks to them directly and escalates.

You can see every action the operator took and every call they made, so there's never a question about what happened overnight.

MONITORING PARTNERS

Chubb's monitoring centres, through Nueva

For 24×7 alarm and video monitoring we partner with Chubb, one of the longest-established monitoring providers in Australia and across Asia. Chubb's two fully staffed Australian monitoring centres, in New South Wales and Queensland, hold the A1-R1A grading from ASIAL, the highest available in Australia. Both are ISO 27001 certified, and their operators are police-checked and industry-trained.

As a Chubb partner, we access monitoring at partner rates and pass the benefit to you. You get Chubb's centres and operators, and Nueva stays your one point of contact for the cameras, the alarms, the network and the monitoring, on one agreement and one invoice. If something goes wrong at 2am, you call one number, not three.

Where your sites run on a cloud security platform with its own 24×7 monitoring built in, we can use that instead. We'll recommend whichever suits your sites, your insurer and your budget, and price both if you'd like to compare.

BEYOND THE ALARM

Don't wait for something to go wrong

Virtual patrols

An operator checks your cameras on a schedule out of hours, looking at the areas you nominate, and reports anything out of place.

Remote video response

Cameras with analytics send events to the monitoring centre as they happen, so an operator can step in before damage is done rather than after.

When things go quiet

Get an alert when expected activity stops, such as a site that doesn't open on time or a cool room whose temperature starts to drift.

FIRE AND LIFE SAFETY

Security alarms and fire systems are different things

Fire detection and life-safety systems are separately regulated and maintained under their own arrangements. We integrate with them where appropriate, for example to release doors in an emergency. We don't maintain them, and we say so in writing.

WHY NUEVA SECURE

One number to call

Cameras, doors, alarms, the network and the monitoring, on one agreement, with one team who knows your sites.

Every action on record

Each activation, verification, call and report is logged, so you can show your insurer or auditor what happened and when.

Secured like the rest of your network

Alarm panels and communicators that connect to your network go on their own segment, and admin access is protected. An alarm system is a way into your building and we treat it like one.

Designed to your budget

Start with alerts to your phone, add business-hours or 24×7 monitoring when you need it, and mix levels of cover across sites.

When did anyone last test your alarm?

Many of the systems we see haven't had their response tested since the day they went in. A free site security assessment covers what's installed, how it's monitored and what actually happens when it goes off.
